・カナダ政府と欧州宇宙機関（ESA）は、機密情報とセンシティブ情報の安全な交換を可能にするGeneral Security of Information Agreement（GSOIA）に署名した
・正式署名は2026年4月14日、Colorado Springsで開催された2026 Space Symposiumで行われ、カナダ宇宙庁のLisa Campbell長官とESAのJosef Aschbacher長官が署名した
・本協定により、カナダ企業が高付加価値のESA programsに参加し、先端研究開発や国際サプライチェーンへ統合される機会が広がる
・対象には、space-based sensingやcommunications systemsなどのdual-use technologies、災害対応、国家安全保障に関わる能力開発が含まれる
・カナダは1979年以来、ESA唯一の非欧州協力国として、ESA programs、infrastructure、expertiseへのアクセスを維持してきた
